The Wild Leek, Ancient Mediterranean Vegetable

An ancient and versatile plant, closely related to garlic and onion, known for its millennia-old history, culinary use, medicinal properties, and curious varieties such as the “aglione”, which produces giant cloves with a delicate flavor. Wild leek itself can develop aerial bulbils (as in the ‘Babington’ type) and may help repel pests such as moles and moths, making it a true Mediterranean “super vegetable”.
