Education and research
The Garden of Apennine Flora is a space dedicated to study, education and the sharing of knowledge, where scientific research, environmental education and active participation come together.

The GFA develops projects and activities in synergy with research bodies and local institutions, with the aim of strengthening biodiversity protection and promoting scientific knowledge.
Regional Agency for Agricultural, Rural and Fisheries Development of the Molise Region (ARSARP Molise) – collaboration for the protection and enhancement of regional agricultural biodiversity through projects dedicated to the conservation of local varieties and the promotion of regional genetic resources.
Germplasm Bank (BGM) – University of Molise – joint activities for the conservation, study and propagation of plant genetic resources, contributing to the safeguarding of native and threatened species.
Urban Lab – NBFC (National Biodiversity Future Center) – University of Molise – research, monitoring and innovation initiatives dedicated to biodiversity and environmental sustainability, with the aim of integrating advanced scientific knowledge with conservation practices in the territory.
Italian Botanical Society (SBI) – training courses for Master’s graduates and PhD students on topics related to plant biodiversity; workshops on taxonomic identification techniques, the use of dichotomous keys, and herbarium preparation.
Italian Society of Vegetation Science (SISV) – practical workshops on vegetation sampling, monitoring and analysis methodologies; seminars on plant species conservation and natural habitat management; field activities (botanical excursions, floristic and vegetation surveys).
Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) – collaboration in international initiatives for the conservation of plant biodiversity and the development of global scientific policies; participation in ex situ and in situ conservation programmes for threatened species; exchange of best practices among botanical gardens and research centres; capacity building and training activities on conservation strategies and the management of living collections; contribution to international databases and networks on plant conservation; development of educational and outreach projects on plant protection and the importance of plant biodiversity.
