General principles

The Giardino della Flora Appenninica is a protected natural area dedicated to the conservation, study, and promotion of plant biodiversity.

All visitors are required to respect the environment, the botanical collections, and other people, adhering to the rules of conduct set out in these regulations.

Good practices

  • You may walk anywhere, but not on the flower beds.
  • Leave all flowers, fruits, and seeds in the Garden.
  • You may walk freely in the Garden, but not on the dry stone walls, as you could damage them.
  • If you have any waste, use the designated bins located throughout the Garden.
  • Pets are allowed only if kept on a leash.
  • Respect the plants by not touching them; only those along the “Path of the Senses” may be handled.
  • Follow the marked paths; leaving them could cause you to get lost.
  • Use only the main entrance to enter and exit the Garden.
  • Be careful not to start fires.

Safety and responsibility

Visitors are responsible for their own behavior during the visit and are expected to act in a manner appropriate to the nature of the site.

The Garden’s organization declines any responsibility for damages resulting from behavior that does not comply with the regulations or from natural environmental conditions.

Events and special activities

During events, initiatives, or special activities, specific rules may apply, which will be communicated to participants.
